The warm sun is calling!

This weekend I am heading out to San Diego for a little trip (and work for Eric). I am very excited to head out, but there is one small problem with leaving! Currently, my web page, kellyannbrown.com, is hosted from my home. We (I say we like I'm actually involved in all the work that Eric has to do! Ha!) are working on a backup server, but it will not be completed before we leave. I am going to move some of the files to a free server for the next two weeks and I will use the link section here to so that you can still access them.

For anyone that has been checking out the web page, I know there have been a lot of changes over the past month. We are working on getting all the kinks worked out (such as the STRANGE things that IE6 wants to do with the page!) I hope to have a new site (with-off site backup) up by the summer. *Fingers Crossed*

June sessions:
I have talked to a few people about booking a June session that have not confirmed the date yet. There are only three more weekend dates left for June (15, 28, 29). Please send me an email if you would like to book any of those dates.

If you need to reach me between now and the 4th of June when I return, please email me at Kelly@KellyAnnBrown.com as I am not sure that I will have access to my voice mail.

Welcome to the Web Log!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by!

Many photographers say that their 'blog' has helped their business more than their web page. I myself have been putting this off for a long time now. Years ago, back when I was in high school, I had a web page where I would post pictures using my Polaroid Fun Flash digital camera and write a short bit on what my friends and I were up to. By my second year in college I realized that it was silly and thought, 'who really cares?' so I stopped updating my site. Wow, that was so long ago that I couldn't even find a google archive of my page (I just checked). I guess I should be thankful as I seem to remember an orange page with a rooster, and my About Me page was BRIGHT pink with blue text. Ouch!

Oh, how times have changed! Now everyone is involved in some sort of social networking. My Aunt emailed me and asked me to be her 'friend' on her My Space or Facebook page. A friend of mine who claims to know nothing about her computer or the Internet has her own 'blog'. For someone who carries a pocket computer and checks her email on her phone constantly, I feel like I am falling behind here!

Okay then! This is my web log! (Yes, I do plan to call this a web log rather than a BLOG, I really hate that word!) We'll see how my networking goes from here! =)
